apitrace-tracers software package provides tools for debugging OpenGL applications and drivers - application tracer, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apitrace-tracers
apitrace-tracers is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apitrace-tracers package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apitrace-tracers *
You will get with apitrace-tracers package name, version, architecture and description in a table
